The PD Altitude application provides a simple way to calculate pressure and density altitudes. 

With some simple training screens it's an ideal companion to learn how to manually calculate the altitudes, ideal for student pilots.

CURRENT VERSION

Move 'Choppy' up or down to set your height, move your temperature and pressure sliders and you will see the result.

Finding it hard to move the sliders to the exact number, simply click on the number and enter the number with your keyboard.

Toggle between Metric and US Units
METRIC
Height - Feet
Temperature - Degrees Celsius
Pressure - Hectopascals (hPa) or (QNH)

US Units
Height - Feet
Temperature - Degrees Fahrenheit
Pressure - Inches of Mercury (inHg)

CURRENT LOCATION

If you want to enable the Automatic Calculation based on your devices current location there is a 'One-Off' In-App purchase that you can buy.

With this enabled every time you open the app it will calculate your Pressure and Density altitude.

(NB: Internet connectivity is required for this function to work)

TRAINING

If you are a student pilot then the training section provides 'Dave's 5-Step' process to calculating Pressure and Density altitude.
